The European Institute of Education (eie) and the Institut Universitaire Kurt Bosch (IUKB) have once again teamed up to offer Bachelor and Master degrees in Business Administration.
The Master of Business Administration (MBA) is offered as a full-time or a part-time programme with majors in Business, Banking or Tourism. In this case the students will have to earn a minimum of 60 ECTS. IUKB was officially recognised as a University Institute by the Government of Switzerland in 1992 and is listed on NARIC. As such its degrees are internationally recognised. In Malta the IUKB MBA and BBA are recognised by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) within the Ministry of Education. eie is an institute of further and higher education licensed by the Ministry of Education in Malta. eie guarantees the same levels and standards as those applied by IUKB in Switzerland. With highly-qualified and knowledgeable lecturers and with regular sessions offering practical tips, eie/IUKB degrees add value to one’s curriculum vitae and open up new opportunities. During the course of studies, major Maltese and foreign-owned companies will showcase their best practices by means of special presentations and seminars. Students will learn about industry resources from real-life practicing professionals, who ply their trade with anyone of eie’s corporate partners. Ms. Alessia Zammit, journalist and TV Newscaster, is an IUKB MBA graduate. She says that “reading for an MBA at eie is more that just earning a degree; eie offers a friendly and welcoming environment. Tutors are committed to providing interesting lectures. Graduating from eie is not the end of a learning process but a new beginning”. The BBA is designed to provide students with the knowledge and experience necessary to successfully meet the challenges of today’s business world. It aims to offer a systematic study of all sciences related to management theory. Teaching units closely related to management (management, finance, marketing and communications) are associated with modules devoted to general education. The MBA is primarily intended for those who are already in employment and who are seeking to obtain an academic qualification in the fields they are already recognised as professionals. Numerous case-studies in relation to the banking or tourism industries are discussed at interdisciplinary workshops.
