FAQs - Admissions FAQ's

Is the distance learning qualification the same as full time campus students receive?
Yes your qualification will be the same since the curriculum, course content and assessment are the same, regardless of method of study. There is no distinction on the qualification itself. You will receive the same award as full time campus-based students.

How long does the course take?

Length of a course depends on the particular programme. All our programmes have a minimum and maximum study period. Generally you will spend as much or as little time as you would if you were taking the programme by formal part-time study, but this is, of course, very flexible.

How many hours per week should I devote?

EIE recommend that you allow 8-12 hours per week, depending on the programme. Flexible learning is about good time planning and building a momentum. It is also about self-motivation. Regular study is more effective than heavy but intermittent periods of study, but in any case, always plan to spend as much time on the programme as you would by part-time formal study.

Will I have to attend lectures and tutorials?

No. The text based learning materials have been created in a professional and structured manner to replace lectures. All the information you need is there from the start in an easy-to-use format. This allows total flexibility throughout your study.

Will I have any mentoring support?

Yes. All institutions working with EIE have dedicate professors, whom you can contact by email to ask them for support throughout the whole programme.

Can I study from anywhere in the world?
Yes. All our programmes are flexible with text based learning materials which you can study completely independently, even if you have no centre close by. Through EIE’s network, we can tailor your course specifically to your needs. In several occasions, EIE has organized exams abroad for their students who decided to continue their studies away from home.

How much does it cost?
Programme fees may vary. In any case, costs are usually competitive and comparative to alternative methods of study and will include module notes, text books, examination fees and online mentoring support.

What if I need more time to complete my studies?
If you fall behind, become ill, relocate or otherwise need to defer your studies, EIE will always try its best to accommodate you and one of our support staff will be on hand to explain the options available to you.

What if I find the course too hard?
We will not enrol you on a course unless we are confident that you will succeed. However, if you feel you’ve started at the wrong level, let us know and we’ll transfer you to the right one, where possible.

How do I apply?
