Key features: The programme associates core courses with case studies and workshops exclusively related to the Tourism and Business industry. The whole curriculum is offered in a multicultural environment and students can finally major their specialization by incorporating what they have learned throughout the course of study and present a thesis project of 6,000 words in their research area of study being chosen in relation to Business or Tourism. Structure: The BBA programme is divided into Three Academic years and is being offered through a flexi-plan structure (full-time or part-time). Due to its interdisciplinary, for which IUKB is a center of excellence in Switzerland, all profiles (Tourism or Business) share many common workshops including but not limited to Global Human Resources, Global Operations Management, Managerial Economics, Marketing Strategy, Marketing Management in Tourism and Sustainable Tourism and Environment according to their major. students are offered to develop specific aspects in the cases discussed.
This peculiar structure allows students to divide their workload (i.e. attendance, personal work and reading, assignments and exams, as defined by the ECTS structure) into two, almost equal parts, namely core courses and courses related to their major (including interdisciplinary workshops), as one can see in the profiles on the opposite page. This internationally recognised degree (180 ECTS) is designed to provide students with the knowledge and experience necessary to successfully meet the challenges of today’s business world. This is done through the development of a variety of personal and interpersonal skills and competencies. All BBA modules offer basic theory in all key business functions and insights into everyday business practices.
This programme focuses on management as both an art and a science. It is designed to help the students learn to take the right decisions at the right time. Students are given the opportunity to be trained in an environment that is oriented towards the understanding of facts and the achievement of concrete and tangible results.
The BBA programme is intended to lead students from beginners to intermediate mastery of key managerial skills as defined in the IUKB Business approach.
The BBA programme aims to offer a systematic study of all sciences related to management theory. Teaching units closely related to management (management, finance, marketing and communication) are associated with modules devoted to general education (social sciences, economics, quantitative business analysis).
The BBA programme offers two majors: The last Academic year programme focuses on the courses required to fulfill the selected major.
